Greetings and welcome,
Hello! I am Dr. Cherry D. Estelhomme, the Founder, CEO, and Senior Psychotherapist at New Foundations Christian Counseling Center (NFCCC). At NFCCC, we are committed to providing the highest quality counseling services to our clients while also fostering a nurturing environment for the professional development of future therapists. To that end, we proudly collaborate with graduate students from Mercer University who are pursuing their degrees in counseling and psychology.
Our Mercer University Graduate Student Interns are an essential part of our team, and they bring a fresh perspective and dedication to our work. However, it's important for our clients and potential clients to understand the limits and specific conditions associated with counseling services provided by our Internship students:
1. Supervised Counseling: All counseling sessions conducted by our Mercer University Graduate Student Interns are conducted under the strict supervision of our seasoned licensed therapists. This ensures that our clients receive the highest level of care and guidance throughout their counseling journey.
2. Recording Sessions: To facilitate the educational growth of our interns, all counseling sessions with our interns are recorded. These recordings are for educational purposes only, allowing our interns to receive constructive feedback and improve their counseling skills. Once reviewed these recordings will be promptly destroyed. These educational recordings are NOT a part of the client's records and are not available to be given to the client.
3. Client Confidentiality: Please rest assured that the recordings are used exclusively for internal educational purposes and are NOT made available to clients or any third parties. We hold your privacy and confidentiality in the highest regard, and your personal information remains protected at all times.
4. Record Deletion: Once the recordings have served their educational purpose and have been thoroughly evaluated by our supervision staff, they are promptly deleted and destroyed. These educational recordings are NOT available to be given to the client or any third party. Your privacy and trust are paramount to us, and we take every measure to ensure your information remains secure.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in supporting the educational journey of our Mercer University Graduate Student Interns. Your participation in these supervised sessions not only contributes to the growth of future therapists but also enables us to continue offering a wide range of counseling services to our community.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding our counseling services or the involvement of our graduate student interns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to provide clarity and support as we walk with you on your path to healing and personal growth.
Truly,
Dr. Cherry D. Estelhomme
